This past week we sat down with Muleforce founder James Shiner, to talk about the cybersecurity industry and what businesses should be doing to protect themselves. James was able to give some amazing insights about projects and pain points he has dealt with over the past few years. To hear more, please listen to the short interview with him above.
Cybersecurity has become one of the most talked about problems as even the U.S. government was subject to one of the most coordinated cyber attacks in history. A group of hackers, infiltrated SolarWinds a network management company and infiltrated its customers’ networks. This access was then used to breach everything from Microsoft to US government agencies, including the US Treasury and departments of Homeland Security, State, Defense, and Commerce.
Furthering the issue, according to Forbes, nearly 80% of senior IT believe their organizations lack sufficient protection against cyberattacks despite increased IT security investments made in 2020 to deal with distributed IT and work-from-home challenges, according to a new IDG Research Services survey commissioned by Insight Enterprises.
The first couple quarters of 2021 represents a cybersecurity issue. Business owners may be shifting staff back into the office. For malicious actors, this opens a door for them that potentially poses a threat to your business. Attackers are always looking for ways to escape IT notice, evade defense measures and exploit emerging weaknesses.
