Who has ever heard of cross-posting?  If you’re not familiar with the term, cross-posting is when one posts the same content across multiple social media networks all at once. On this week’s episode of Digital Dialogue, we discuss the drawbacks of cross-posting and how it has been proven to be ineffective in the long run.

).  According to Social Media Today, social listening, video content, micro-influencers, personalization, and timelines will be the trends that will dominate social media in 2019.

). Instagram added voice messaging and Google Plus is shutting down.

). While cross-posting may seem like a great way to save time, there are a number of reasons why it isn’t successful longterm. For example, caption length, image formatting, and vocabulary all differ by platform so content posted may not have the same impact on every platform.

). It is vital to ALWAYS tailor your content to the specific platform you are posting from.
